We are the solution

SOA's community is made up of thousands of young people in over 165 countries. In 2020, we supported 93 project in 43 countries, to leaders averaging 26 years of age.

We can't wait for the greatest challenges facing our ocean to be solved by governments or corporations. That's why we are committed to supporting 100 projects led by members of the last generation to

Our geographic focus areas were Japan, Indonesia, and the US. Our topical focus areas were projects related to seabed mining and river cleanups.

We don’t have all the answers, but we know enough to take action.

The intended theme for the Our Ocean Youth Leadership Summit is “Co-creating the Sustainable Blue Economy”. Following Norway’s global leadership in integrated ocean management, the summit programming will intend to inspire, inform, and empower participants to build holistic solutions that better balance the needs of society, industry and the ocean environment.

We invite problem solvers and sustainability champions (below 35 years old) to submit their application online before July 5th, 2019 11:59pm PST.
